For years, my success may have looked like yours: professional victory, spiritual alignment, and tireless drive. I climbed the corporate ranks at The Coca-Cola Company and SunTrust Banks, and managed high-stakes operations under the absolute public scrutiny of the Atlanta 1996 Committee for the Olympic Games.   Outwardly, I was the unshakeable executive who had it all together because I lead the men lead. 

Inwardly, I paid a devastating biological penalty. As the ONLY woman of color in rooms dominated by male-centric power models, I wore my executive presence like a heavy shield. I was locked in a perpetual always-on vigilance mode, playing the "Office Mom" and running on stress-adrenaline. My body stored the silent trauma of the double bind—where being decisive made me "aggressive" and being warm made me "weak". I forced myself to work through severe physical pain and mental exhaustion because showing a single crack felt like professional death.

Seeking another opportunity to serve, I stepped into the non-profit sector as Vice President of a federally funded county organization, managing multi-million-dollar budgets. Instead of freedom, I found the "Sacrifice Lie" and "Overhead Shame". I saw brilliant, mission-driven women treating their burnout as a badge of holy honor. However, I lived as the "Chief Firefighter", leading an amazing team of people; however, running on empty because I was constantly the "Chief Fire Fighter" and "Chief Customer Service Guru".

The world's system of leadership tells you to "think" your way out of burnout using cognitive tools. But I'm here to share . . . you cannot intellectualize nervous system exhaustion and physical depletion. Believe me, lasting transformation doesn’t happen just in your mind; it must happen in your body too.

Defeated after years of doing my way, I surrendered my way of leading to Abba Father. He shared His of way of leadership, thus, I realized I had stumbled upon a divine revelation.
